Guided by a strong sense of purpose and belief that every step in his journey has meaning, Abraham “AB” Torres began his barber career in El Paso in 2018. It wasn’t long before he moved to Phoenix to work alongside a friend at his shop. He credits that decision as life changing. Not only is he surrounded by a team that keeps him centered and inspired, it’s also where he discovered Johnny B. What began as an opportunity to become the brand’s first sponsored barber has evolved into an educator position as he remains committed to uplifting the next generation of barbers with the necessary technique and mindset to succeed.

Known for his approachable personality and natural ability to connect with people, AB loves the conversations that happen in the chair. Helping clients learn how to style their hair and choose the right products are as important to him as precise cuts and fades. He believes that education never stops. Staying uncomfortable, challenging himself, and continuously learning are principles he lives by, both personally and professionally.

AB surrounds himself with talented barbers, remains active on social media, and draws inspiration from his team to help keep his creativity sharp and his skills evolving with new trends and techniques. He happily recognizes the people around him who have played roles in his growth and hopes to pay it forward by teaching, mentoring, and investing in others.
