David Parras’ journey into barbering wasn’t one of choice, but of necessity. With a family to provide for and limited opportunities, he stepped into the industry determined to make it work. What began as a way to survive quickly turned into a passion that has defined his career and purpose.

As an educator, David is known for breaking down the art of cutting coarse, straight hair with simplicity and confidence. His philosophy is rooted in mastery of the basics—teaching barbers how to create sharp, clean cuts using just two essential tools: the clipper and fade comb. By eliminating reliance on guards, he empowers students to trust their skills and creativity. His goal is always the same: to send barbers out of his classes motivated, confident, and inspired to keep practicing until they surpass even his level of expertise.

As a seasoned Johnny B. educator, Parras also serves as one of the team’s bilingual leaders, with a strong emphasis on Spanish-language classes. Beyond technical education, his sessions highlight the importance of retail—a field in which Parras has found great success and believes others can achieve the same.

David’s philosophy is rooted in perseverance, growth, and empowerment: success comes from education, commitment, and believing in yourself. Though he once disliked barbering, he found his true passion in teaching and now finds joy in helping others reach their goals.
